This September, Riverchasers is turning poker chips into something even more valuable: support for families in our local communities.
From September 1 through September 30, all participating Riverchasers events will be collecting non-perishable food donations as part of our Stacks 4 Stacks Food Drive. Players who participate won’t just be helping stock local food banks—they’ll also receive a little extra help at the poker table.
Bring a Donation. Get Bonus Chips.
Players can participate by bringing:
4 non-perishable canned goods, or
Approximately $5 worth of non-perishable food items
In return, participating players will receive extra bonus chips for their tournament.
Supporting the Communities That Support Us
Riverchasers events take place in bars, restaurants, clubs, fire companies, and other gathering places throughout our region. These venues and communities have supported Riverchasers and our players for years, and Stacks 4 Stacks gives us an opportunity to return that support.
All food collected during the promotion will be donated to local food banks serving the communities where our games are played.
That means the food donated at Riverchasers events will stay close to home and help people in the areas where our players, hosts, venue owners, employees, friends, and families live.
Poker With Purpose
Riverchasers has always been about more than the cards on the table.
Our games bring people together every week. Friendships are formed, communities grow, and local businesses benefit from having players walk through their doors.
During Stacks 4 Stacks, we're asking that community to come together for an even bigger purpose.
Imagine hundreds of Riverchasers players across dozens of weekly events each bringing just a few cans of food. Those individual donations quickly become boxes, then carloads, and ultimately thousands of food items that can help families throughout the region.
Every donation matters.
How You Can Help
Participating is easy. Before heading to your Riverchasers game during September, grab four canned goods from your pantry or pick up approximately $5 worth of non-perishable food during your next grocery trip.
Bring the donation with you to your Riverchasers event, give it to the host, collect your bonus chips, and play your tournament knowing that your contribution will help someone in your community.
And if you'd like to donate more than the minimum, you're certainly encouraged to do so.
Together, We Can Make a Difference
Poker is a game built around stacks of chips.
This September, we're building another kind of stack—stacks of food for our neighbors who need it.
One player can make a contribution.
One venue can fill a box.
